Leírás:
Researchers of the Centre for Energy Research, Hungarian Academy of Sciences have been participating in dosimetry measurement campaigns performed on the International Space Station and aboard retrievable biological satellites with passive detector packages composed of thermoluminescent and track etch detectors since 2001. Measurements are mostly conducted in collaboration with the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Biomedical Problems (IBMP-RAS), the European Space Agency (ESA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
Candidate will analyze, evaluate and interpret data from measurements performed with passive detectors retrieved from the International Space Station or returnable biological satellites. He/she shall perform intercomparison of data obtained simultaneously with other measurement systems. Given the results obtained, Candidate shall improve the measurement methods used. Professional support will be provided to the Candidate by the Radiation Protection Department of the MTA Centre for Energy Research.

Elvárások:

The applicant shall possess sufficient knowledge and experience in the field of nuclear techniques, especially radiation protection and dosimetry. He/she shall be able to work also independently, has new ideas and his/her English is sufficient for performing literature survey in the field. Knowledge and experience in C, C++ or Python programming language and the Russian language is also an advantage.
