Leírás:

Development and application of optical measurement techniques for studying the properties of atmospheric, urban, industrial or pharmaceutical aerosols.

Numerical modelling of the optical properties of aerosol particles.

The candidates will conduct their PhD work within one of the subject areas of the Laser Applications and Optical Measurement Techniques research group, both independently and in collaboration with other team members. The job assignments include project planning, performing experiments, data collection, processing and analysis of the experimental results, preparing publications, and presentations at conferences. The PhD students are also expected to actively participate in project workshops and in seminars at the department, as well as cooperate with the surrounding community.

The Institute provides the high level background and infrasctructure, containing all necessary instruments and equipments for performing any kind of aerosol measurement together with a well developed optomechanical machinery.

Elvárások:

In terms of skills, the followings are required:

  • Ability to work independently as well as in team
  • Analytical and problem-formulation skills
  • Ability to plan and perform experiments and participate in the corresponding data evaluation and interpretation
  • Oral and written proficiency in English, including the ability to convincingly present your work
