Leírás:

Magnetic resonance-based ensemble qubit manipulation is a viable candidate for studying basic quantum algorithms and to simulate the behavior a generic quantum-computer. We are seeking a candidate to perform magnetic resonance operations on small candidate molecules (e.g. endohedral fullerenes, small organic molecules), or on a solid state model system (the nitrogen-vacancy center in diamond). The work involves mastering of the magnetic resonance techniques (nuclear magnetic resonance, electron spin resonance, optically detected magnetic resonance and their combinations), preparation of samples, design and implementation of the magnetic resonance-based qubit operation schemes. The work also involves preparation and tomographic studies of the entangled few qubit states. Given the breadth of the field, the candidate will have the option to put emphasis on different experimental tools depending on her/his interests.
