The road network of a city can be regarded either as a graph or as a mosaic, the two dimensional space filled with polygons. Recently [1] a representation was proposed for the mosaics using two average quantities hte average degree of the nodes (n) and the average number of sides of the polygons (v). It was shown that basically all natural fragments have $v>4$. In this thesis the applicant will analyse the road structure of the cities find relevant events which form the city road structure create a model using these components and verify the model's predictions on samples of Hungarian ciries for which we have historical data.
